PGA Tour Signs Sports Betting Operator Deal with the Score

The PGA Tour has signed on its fifth official betting operator in the US by partnering with Score Media and Gaming (the Score). If and when Canada passes its pending single event sports betting bill, the partnership will be the Tour’s first official partner in the US’s northern neighbor.

According to the vice president of marketing and content for the Score, Aubrey Levy: “The PGA TOUR has been an innovative, industry leader in sports betting and we’re excited to collaborate to enhance our integrated media and betting experience.”

“We’re proud to partner with the TOUR as an Official Betting Operator immediately across the U.S., and in Canada as soon as legislation allows.”

Also commenting was the vice president of gaming at the PGA Tour, Scott Warfield, who said: “The PGA TOUR is focused on engaging sports fans and Score Media and Gaming is one of the global leaders in delivering highly personalized scores, news, statistics and sports betting information.”

“Leveraging theScore’s vast reach via this relationship will allow the TOUR to engage fans in unique and creative ways,” he added.

The partnership between the PGA Tour and theScore includes:

  • The PGA Tour will incorporate daily odds updates from theScore Bet within the Tour’s live audio play-by-play. The odds will be distributed via SiriusXM PGA Tour RADIO and PGA TOUR digital platforms.
  • theScore Bet will have advertising rights with the PGA Tour and its media partners.
  • theScore Bet will also have video content rights to enhance its golf offerings and coverage on theScore and theScore Bet apps.

In February, Canada’s parliament passed the second reading of the Safe and Regulated Sports Betting Act with a significant majority (303 to 15 votes).

The final objective is to get Bill C-218 to the Governor-General’s desk and have him sign it into Royal Assent.
