Taking one more step towards legal online gambling, the state of New Hampshire has launched its lottery online through its new iLottery program. A total of eight instant games will be available online, and they will be similar to the games offered for sale at retail lottery suppliers. As such, New Hampshire becomes the sixth state to offer draw and instant-win tickets online.
A spokesperson for New Hampshire Lottery, Maura McCann, said that this promised to be an “exciting opportunity” for the lottery and for the people of the state.
“iLottery and our new e-Instant games are new ways to purchase some of our most popular games, like Powerball and Mega Millions, online,” she said.
Also commenting was the executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery, Charlie McIntyre, who said that the lottery had long viewed itself as a “player-centric lottery.”
“Our focus in everything we do is how best to make our products entertaining and accessible to our customers by creating a strong and positive play experience,” he said. “Launching iLottery is the critical next wave component in enhancing our players direct interaction with our games.”
Earlier this year, the New Hampshire legislature passed a bill that gave the green light to the sale of lottery tickets online. The bill was signed into law by Governor Chris Sununu in June, 2018.

- 10 x The Cash
- Blazing Red 7’s
- Diamond Payout
- Jackpot Cash
- Multiplier Max Out
- Pot O’ Gold
- VIP Black
In order to buy lottery tickets or instant-win games online, players need to sign up for a New Hampshire iLottery account. They will need to be 18 years or older. Players will be allowed to buy tickets as long as they are inside state lines, and purchases can be made through smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computers.
According to the New Hampshire Lottery, over 4,500 people have signed up for an account since the launch in September this year. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in winnings have already been paid out.
