Poker Pro Brad Booth Found Alive and Well

Family of the former highstakes poker star, Brad Booth, have issued a statement saying that the player, who has been missing since July, has been found safe and well. No other details were released.

The Canadian-born Booth was reported missing by his friends in the summer, after he told his roomate that he was going camping. A few days later, when he did not return, his friends realized that he had taken very little on the so-called camping trip, when he was last seen leaving the Grand Sierra Resort Hotel in Nevada, in his Toyota Tacoma truck.

For months, Booth’s name appeared on the US missing persons website, with no indication given about his whereabouts.

On September 16th, the Let’s Find Brad Booth Facebook page, set up by friends and family, published a message, written by the player’s family members.

“We have confirmation that Brad is alive and well, but has been taking some time to himself as anticipated and hoped by many,” reads the post. “We cannot thank you enough for your support and well wishes in locating him. Please note – we do not have any further information at this time.”

The Poker Career of “Yukon Brad”

Booth was a former Full Tilt Red pro who played poker every day for years before leaving Canada to make Las Vegas his new home. He appeared on the TV show High Stakes Poker with big names such as Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius, and was once considered to be one of the most successful high limit players in the industry.

Booth never truly recovered from the Ultimate scandal which, he claims, left him $2 million short. He went on to lose over $4 million over a period of three years.

The player has cashed in twice in the World Series of Poker, was placed 5th in the National Heads-Up Championship in 2007 and made the final table of the World Poker Tour in 2006.
